Christmas Wonders at La Maison de La Balise

Christmas came early for more than 200 children from Rivière-Noire and Petite-Rivière-Noire when they received school material and gifts at La Maison de La Balise in Black-River. La Balise Marina had organised a Christmas party on December 20th, in collaboration with local MPs, ENL Foundation and other benefactors .

« Access to education is these children's best asset for the future », said Mario Radegonde, CSR Manager of the ENL Foundation. « We firmly believe that, with adequate support and resources, any child can be successful at school. This is why we support the local MPs endeavour to provide school material to more than 200 children . We also want to encourage the parents to invest as much as possible in their children's education and hope that our contribution will greatly help them », he added.

« The preparation for the celebration of the Nativity is a time for rejoicing and sharing. We are very happy to have been given the opportunity to share those gifts with these underprivileged children and brighten their Christmas day », said Mario Radegonde.

The Honorable Alan Ganoo and Honorable Josique Radegonde, MPs for the constituency, also attended this party. They expressed warm thanks to La Balise Marina and to the Groupe Espitalier-Noël for their support to the community of Black-River. They also noted that education was essential to building a better future for the children. Snacks were distributed to the children and their parents by the MPs.
